How Your Donation Saves Lives

Updated: Feb 20

Every day, someone’s life is shattered by domestic and family violence or child trafficking. Children are stolen from their families, sold into slavery, and abused in unimaginable ways. Women are trapped in homes where every moment is filled with fear, wondering if today will be the day their abuser goes too far. These aren’t just statistics or stories in the news—these are real people, with real lives, facing real danger.

But your donation can change that.

At Safer Pathways, we don’t sit on the sidelines. We are on the frontlines of this crisis, providing hands-on solutions that directly save lives. When you donate to Safer Pathways, you’re not just giving money—you’re offering safety, hope, and a future to those who need it most.

The Reality of Domestic and family Violence and Child Trafficking
  • Domestic and family Violence: Many women will experience domestic and family violence in their lifetime. For some, it’s a daily reality where fear rules every moment. They are trapped, isolated, and often have no way out.

  • Child Trafficking: Every year, millions of children are trafficked around the world. They are exploited for labour, sold into sexual slavery, and robbed of their childhood. Many never make it out alive.

But there is hope. And that hope comes from people like you.

How Safer Pathways Foundation Saves Lives

We take immediate, life-saving action in three key areas:

Domestic and family Violence Services:

  • Safety is our priority: When someone is in immediate danger, we work alongside specialist services to put steps in place to ensure a victim survivor is safe. This could mean working with the survivor around safety planning, upgrading their security at home or organising safe transport and an immediate removal to safe accommodation

Child Trafficking Prevention:

  • Intelligence-driven operations: We work closely with trusted partners to identify trafficking rings and prevent children from being taken. This involves deep investigative work, surveillance, and, when needed, on the ground operations to recover children at risk.

  • Rescue operations: When children are already in the possession of traffickers, we do everything in our power to get them out. Our rescue teams work tirelessly, often in dangerous situations, to remove children from harm and bring them to safety.

Survivor Support:

  • Psychological and emotional healing and recovery: Leaving an abusive situation or escaping trafficking is just the first step. We offer referrals to our partnering services who provide ongoing counselling, therapy, and emotional support to help survivors rebuild their lives.

  • Legal advocacy: We work alongside survivors to secure protective orders and other legal protections to ensure a victim survivors voice is heard and protected.

Where Your Donation Goes

We believe in full transparency. Every dollar you donate is used to directly support our life-saving work. Here’s how your contribution is put to work:

  • $50 can provide a domestic violence survivor with a home security upgrade, such as reinforced locks or an emergency phone.

  • $100 helps fund a rescue mission, providing transportation and security for a child being extracted from a trafficking ring.

  • $250 supports a full week of trauma counselling for a survivor, helping them begin the healing process.

  • $500 can provide long-term safe housing for a survivor and their children, allowing them to start over without fear.

You have the power to change lives—right now. Every donation, no matter the size, is critical in our fight against domestic and family violence and human trafficking.

Be Part of the Solution

When you donate to Safer Pathways, you’re not just giving money—you’re giving someone their life back. You’re offering safety to a child who has been trafficked, or a woman who is being abused. You’re offering them the opportunity to break free from the cycle of violence and rebuild their life.

Make your impact today. Your donation could be the difference between life and death for someone in desperate need.

Together, we can save lives. Together, we can make a difference.
